Arizona Rocks Trip, part 1

We went to Arizona. We saw rocks. This is the pictorial story.

First stop was 4 Corners monument. As a landmark that is really just a fabrication, it was OK.

I am a tourist!
With one foot in Colorado,
one foot in Utah,
and a toe in NM
The next stop was Page - home of Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. Most of what we saw has much better photos that I can take available on the internet. But we did take a nice walk to Hanging Gardens. Here is the start of the trail. Follow the red rocks.

Along the way, we could see part of Lake Powell in the distance. The water level is so low that most recreational use is lost.

Just a hillside along the way:

Eleni adds to the natural beauty:

And the whole point of the trail - Hanging Gardens in the middle of the desert:

The ferns are fed by seepage coming through layers of rocks.

Next up - Antelope Canyon!
