While encountering nature while hiking in the forest is exciting, encountering bears is a little too exciting.
I missed getting a good zoomed-in photo because I was keeping my eye on the bear more than my phone.
So this picture is just an enlargement of the picture above it.

Not really. Completely different day. But there was still a bear there, just one that ran away fast instead of sitting there looking at me. My shrill whistle finally scared off that big bear. Whew!
