Our lively yard (Formerly Our Crazy Mushrooms)

Yes, our yard likes to grow weird mushrooms, but there's more out there than just fungus. So now this blog is for whatever life-forms intrigue me.

A perilous spot to hang out at night when it's time to take the dog out:

The friendliest-looking mushroom I have found yet, though it's probably just another Inkcap in an early stage:

I guess the shrooms can coexist with the chard. Maybe the leaf miners will get driven away.

Google thinks this might be a Polypore.

Probably not good enough picture for identification. It appears the cucumber plant is not going to allow these mushrooms to take over!

Apparently so common they are just "lawn mushrooms"

No clear ID:

More Inkcap!

Bird's Nest Fungi!

Google can't get a good ID for this one:

Not that odd, just pretty. Google went out on a limb (stem?) and proclaimed these violets edible!

Lucy needs to leave this little critter alone! Cute little toad was sitting in the depression where phlox was supposed to be growing.

Here is the most boring mushroom so far . . .

I will refrain from commenting on this one. Google says it is a Stinkhorn.

Lens says this is a Pleated InkCap. Much nicer than the Stinkhorn
